The Little Dipper Hideaway is located off Highway #33 along half a mile of the West Kettle River.

The West Kettle is usally suitable for canoeing and kayaking from the middle to late June. By July it slows down to
where it is suitable for floating on inner tubes or rubber rafts. By August the water level drops to where usually only
swimming and wading is possible. There are numerous deep holes that provide good swimming opportunities.
